SPW-NAW:Sac At the Historic Colonial Theater

Sacramento, California

The show begins with Tommy Tsunami and myself coming to the ring to hype up the crowd and officially kick things off. The entire NAW faction soon joins us and they announce that there is a new member of the NAW and that things are going to be getting "ugly." They leave and moments later El Flaco Loco comes out. Flaco reviews just a small bit of the vast history between he and the Big Ugly and then he calls Ugly out. Ugly, along with his valet, Chase, come to the ring and Ugly says that he is still SPW and to prove it he is going to be the first man entered into the big Dragon Rules Battle Royal (Called such because Ultimo Dragon uses this style for his group in Japan). Two people will start and every two minutes a random two more people will enter the match. Elimination comes by being tossed over the top rope. As an added bonus, the winner will get to book a match for the December 1 show. Any match he wants.

FIRST MATCH: DRAGON RULES BATTLE ROYAL

The first two men are Ugly and the Sacramento Dragon, who comes out as Rey Mysterio Jr for this one. They fight for two minutes, going back and forth with neither man really dominating. Since I was on stage and introducing the entrants and announcing the elimination's for this one, my notes suck. But here is the order of entrance and then the order of elimination.... After Ugly and Dragon we had Hunk Golden and Black Metal, then Super Dave and Scotty Love, Wicked and the Brown Snake Jesus Cruz, El Flaco Loco and Sacramento Dragon (as Kane), Clint Douglas and Johnny Onyx, Handsome Jack and Dante, Kryptonite and Mike Rayne, Luster the Legend and Shane Dynasty, and Adam Thornstowe and... the Sacramento Dragon (as The Hurricane). Order of exiting were Sac Dragon, Super Dave, Scotty Love, Sac Dragon, Johnny Onyx, Wicked, Jesus Cruz, Shane Dynasty, Luster the Legend, Dante, Mike Rayne, Adam Thornstowe, Sac Dragon, Kryptonite, Hunk Golden, Black Metal, Handsome Jack, and Clint Douglas. That left just Ugly and Flaco in the ring. Ugly grabbed the mic and said he would prove his loyalty to SPW... and he eliminated himself and thus Flaco got the win and the ability to pick a match for the next show.

Second Match: BLACK METAL vs BROWNSNAKE JESUS CRUZ vs SCOTTY LOVE vs SHANE DYNASTY

ELIMINATION MATCH: Rules are that two men are in the ring, but can tag out at any time. Rather quickly in the match Shane Dynasty found himself eliminated (by Black Metal, I believe). The other three then fought for awhile with Scotty Love bleeding from the mouth or nose. Cruz went out second, then Scotty and thus Black Metal was the winner.

Third Match: THE BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE (w/ Shane Dynasty) vs ADAM THORNSTOWE and LUSTER THE LEGEND

SPW TAG TITLE MATCH: The crowd was really into this one as the Beautiful People seem to be heels that everybody loves to hate. Luster and Adam got some solid offense in the entertaining match, but in the end it was Shane Dynasty and a tag title belt that made the difference and thus the Beautiful People were able to get the win and keep their gold.

Fourth Match: "Bulldog" BRIAN RAYMOND vs "The Innovator" VINNIE MASSARO

SPW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: This was a cool match for me to introduce as Massaro has worked all over California and I have personally seen him have some really good matches, including a match last year with Low Ki (where Sidekick Melissa first set eyes on her favorite wrestler). At first the crowd was not sure how to react to this one as Bulldog is a heel and Massaro was unknown to many of them, but the stiff, rapid, back and forth action brought the crowd into the match. Both guys hit some nice spots and the pace was great. In the end Bulldog got the win with a Suplex.

After the intermission Tommy Tsunami conducted an interview with head official Even Steven De Curre (not positive on the spelling of his last name). Even Steven was not happy when he was informed that he was barred from refing matches for Big Ugly or El Flaco Loco because of "questionable" calls he had made in the past. They end up going at it, verbally, with the crowd getting all over Steve (also verbally).

Fifth Match: JOHNNY ONYX vs KRYPTONITE (w/ Jesus Cruz and Wicked)

Amazing just how much both these guys have improved over the last few months. Johnny certainly appeared to be over with the fans. The female fans at least (even Angel, the ref, seemed to be a big fan). A little bit of everything in this one as they did some chain wrestling and also a lot of high flying. Johnny is incredibly agile for a guy his size. Onyx ended up getting the win due to a DQ when both Wicked and Cruz got involved. Hunk Golden came out to make the save for Johnny and raised his hand in victory.

Sixth Match: HUNK GOLDEN vs WICKED (w/ Jesus Cruz)

Last month Wicked dumped his valet, Madison, when she helped his then tag team partner Golden to the back after he injured his knee. She had her revenge, here, coming out during the match and hitting Wicked with a headscissors take down, which the ref missed because he was down and out. This allowed Hunk to get the win.

Seventh Match: MIKE RAYNE and SUPER DAVE vs EL FLACO LOCO and BIG UGLY JD BISHOP (w/Chase)

NAW TAG TITLE MATCH: Just before the start of the match Bulldog Brian Raymond came out and took my mic from me. During the entire match he used to it ride Bishop, trying to convince Bishop to return to the NAW (where he was trained, back in the day). Bulldog's argument was that the fans were just there to see Flaco. He pointed out that even Chase, Bishop's number one fan, was wearing Flaco's jester hat. Ugly took care of that, ripping the hat off of chase and throwing it away. The ref went down and Mike got a chair to use on Flaco. Bulldog ordered Mike to give the chair to Bishop, which he did. Bulldog was a bit upset when Bishop used the chair to drop Mike and not Flaco. Dave got the chair and hit Bishop with it, but all that did was get Bishop's attention as he took Dave out. This allowed the two Team Supreme leaders to get the win and thus become the new NAW tag champions. Flaco got on the mic and announced that he has decided what match he is picking for the next show. A brutal, Hardcore style match with all sorts of weapons (the match has a name, but I cannot remember it) for the SPW title. Bulldog Brian Raymond vs ..... The Big Ugly JD Bishop.

Main Event: DANTE (w/ Mike Rayne and Super Dave) vs SACRAMENTO DRAGON (w/ El Flaco Loco)

FINALS OF THE EXTREME TITLE TOURNAMENT: This match was more then worthy of being the main event as both men pulled out all the stops with a couple of sick ladder spots and a strand a barbed wire that saw all kinds of action. Lots of counters and back and forth action made this match the definition of what the Extreme title should be all about. In the end Dante got the win by Powerbombing Dragon through a table. After the carnage was cleared up Dante shook Dragon's hand in a show of respect.

All in all it was a great night with a heck of a great crowd, loud at all the right moments and into everything. Pure and simple the most fun I have had working a wrestling show... so far.
